ASTORIA FORD MOTORS TO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The Astoria Ford Fishermen have yet to allow a run as they pursue a second consecutive Oregon Junior Baseball Association Division I state championship.
Friday, Astoria blanked North Marion 7-0 behind the 2-hit pitching of sophomore Daniel Mathre. Fellow sophomore Jordan Poyer returned to the hill Saturday night and was dominant once again, as Astoria stormed past North Salem 10-0.
Astoria has outscored its opponents 27-0 on the way to the championship game Sunday night.
