COLLIER PERFECT AT PLATE...AGAIN!

Tyler Collier went 5-for-5 at the plate, raising his summer batting average over .700 as the Warrenton Warriors swept a non-league baseball doubleheader at Ilwaco, winning game one 14-0 in five innings and taking game two 7-2.

Eric Gantenbein pitched a 5-inning complete game, improving to 3-0 this summer. The senior righthander struck out seven and walked one, allowing four hits.

Collier went 3-3 with two runs and two RBI in game one, then added two hits in two at bats in the second game while picking up the win on the mound with two innings of hitless relief. Mike Davis pitched the first three innings for the Warriors, who improved to 8-1 with their eighth straight victory.

Warrenton heads to Seaside for a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 4:00 p.m. Only the first game will count in the district standings.
