WILLIS O.K., WILDCATS TOP TITANS

Jason Willis, who left the field prematurely Saturday in his last start after experiencing arm discomfort, was back on the hill for the Seaside Wildcats Wednesday at Sckavone Field.

Willis tossed five innings to pick up the win as the 'Cats beat the Titans 8-3 in a PIL game.

Robert Lloyd hit a pair of home runs, a 2-run shot in the second inning and a solo shot in the sixth. Aaron Nelson also continued his recent power surge with another solo home run.

Willis gave way to Adam Neu in the sixth inning and Seaside native Matt Hendryx got a rare appearance on the mound, finishing off the final two innings.

The Wildcats head to Tacoma for a must-sweep series against the Seattle Studs, starting Friday at University of Puget Sound. The team returns to Broadway Field Monday, July 24th for Fan Appreciation Night against the Pacific Javelinas.

A rescheduled doubleheader against the Everett Merchants has been cancelled.
