CROSS COUNTRY ROUNDUP-Thursday

Trico League Meet at Castle Rock...Ilwaco's Kelly Freese won the girls race and Carl Jackson and Steven Berglund finished second and third respectively in the boys race for the Fishermen. La Center fielded the only full girls team, recording 15 points. Ilwaco's Cameo Ulbricht placed fourth with a time of 21:48, a personal record, while Freese crossed the finish line in 19:51. Kalama's Wyler Beterbide won the boys race in 16:38 with Jackson (17:24) and Berglund (17:39) following. Kalama won the boys title with 51 points, followed by La Center with 54. Ilwaco placed third with 65 points. Ilwaco heads to Lacey's St. Martin's College campus for next Saturday's District 4 Championships.
Meriwether National XC Invitational...Knappa's Josh Frye took first place leading the Loggers to the team title in Hillsboro. Gretchen George finished second in the girls race.
Vernonia Relays...Warrenton's Kevin Dugan completed the 4K course in 16:43 with Janessa Gramson finishing in 19:28 at this relay event. No team scores were available.
Pacific 2B League Meet at Ocosta H.S....Naselle results not reported.
