GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP-Monday

O.E.S. 6, Astoria 0...Future Portland Pilot and defending state player of the year Jessica Tsao scored three goals and Lauren Eyler notched two to lead the Aardvarks to a dominating win over the Lady Fishermen. "They are talented and strong," said Astoria coach Jim Flint, whose team dropped to 0-3 in district and 2-7-1 overall. Astoria heads to Valley Catholic on Wednesday.
Valley Catholic 2, Seaside 0...The Seagulls bounced back from a rough opening week of district play with a strong showing against the highly-ranked Valiants. "We gave them a heck of a game," said Seaside coach Dave Rouse. "We had some good scoring opportunities and some real close calls. I think we shut them down real well most of the night." The Seagulls, now 0-3 in district and 5-5 overall, take on number one-ranked O.E.S. Wednesday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. at the LCYSA Soccer Complex.
Catlin Gabel 10, Rainier 0...The Eagles' Kaethe Selkirk had another huge afternoon with 4 goals as 3-0 Catlin routed Rainier to keep pace with O.E.S. and Valley Catholic atop the District 1 Standings.
Yamhill-Carlton 1, Scappoose 1...The Indians put the first blemish on Yamhill-Carlton's district record as the teams played to a draw at Scappoose.
