FISHERMEN ROLL ON COLUMBIANS

Nick Bredleau tossed a complete game 1-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and the Astoria defense played error-free behind him in a 15-0, six-inning shutout at Rainier.

Adam Koehnke led the Fishermen offense with three hits and Mathias Brause had two hits, while Brendan Landwehr drove in two runs. The Fishermen also got key hits from Thomas Jaworski and Joey Dursse.

Astoria hosts Oregon City for two, beginning this afternoon at 4:30 p.m., then heads to Knappa for a 6:00 p.m. contest tomorrow. Yesterday, the Loggers were scheduled to play Tillamook, which has folded its baseball program for the summer.
