PEREZ WINS TRICO JAVELIN TITLE
Ilwaco's Bonnie Perez threw the javelin 119-feet, 5-inches at Wednesday's Trico Division Subdistrict track and field meet at Stevenson, setting a personal record.
The Fishermen senior ranks fifth in Washington and second in District IV among 1A throwers.
No other Fishermen athletes placed in finals events Wednesday. The meet will conclude Friday with the running finals and the rest of the field events. District finals are at Rainier, Friday, May 18 with the state 1A meet at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma on May 25 and 26.
Naselle subdistrict track results were not reported.
