WILDCATS TAKE GAME TWO VS PACKERS 8-5 IN 11 INNINGS

The Seaside Wildcats have improved their record to 14-11 overall as they take game two against the Salinas Valley Packers 8-5. Seaside was held scoreless until the eight inning when the Wildcats put up four runs. The big hit in the fourth came from Rob Hitchens with two outs he hit a base clearing 3 run RBI triple. Then Matt Hendryx reached on an error scoring Hitchens from third base. Seaside added one big run in the ninth to tie the game at five. Spencer Wiggins singled and reached second. Then with one out Rob Lloyd hit an RBI Tripple that scored Wiggins from second base. Each team went scorelss in the 10th innning. With one out in the top of the 11th Wiggins was hit by a pitch then Aaron Nelson singled. Aaron Svarthumle reached on a fielders choice scoring Wiggins from third. Rob Lloyd then doubled scoring Svarthumle from first. Matt Webb would come up next an reach on an error scoring Lloyd from second. Matt Gardner got the win on the mound for the Wildcats. Gardner came on the fourth inning and ptiched eight strong innings. Gardner gave up just two runs on six hits and struck out seven.

Thanks for te update on the Wildcats, I am looking forward to their return to Seaside on 14 July.

The Wildcats beat the San Luis Obispo Blues 9-6 on 4 July

The Wildcats are home . They went 7 & 3 in Ca. I wish we had some stats on those games. The did very well. The Wildcat's Website is not very up to date

We are doing our best to keep up-do-date info on our site, but we rely on communication from the team when they are on the road and we just haven't gotten it.

I agree, their website is little help in this regard.

Hope to see you at Broadway Field Friday and Saturday when they play the Blaze!
