BABE RUTH DISTRICT SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

All three Astoria Babe Ruth All-Star teams will head to Walker Stadium at Lents Park in Portland for District 1 competition this weekend.

Due to the late announcement of the district tournament schedule, Astoria's 15-year-old team was forced to withdraw from a tournament at Kelso this weekend. The 15-year-old squad will host and participate in the 15-year-old Pacific N.W. Regional Babe Ruth Tournament at the end of the month, regardless of how they fare at districts.

The 14- and 13-year-old teams must win district and state tournaments to advance that far. The 15-year-olds will not participate at the state tournament.

Astoria (14) vs. S.E. Portland (14), 12:30 p.m.

Astoria (15) vs. Tualatin Hills (15), 7:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, July 6
Seaside/Newberg winner vs. Tualatin Hills (14), 9:00 a.m.
Astoria/S.E. Portland loser vs. Seaside/Newberg loser, 12:30 p.m.
Seaside/S.E. Portland winner vs. Astoria (13), 4:00 p.m.
S.E. Portland (15) vs. Tualatin Hills 2 (15), 7:30 p.m.
