VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP

Ilwaco def. COLUMBIA 25-12, 21-25, 25-14, 25-26...The Lady Fishermen picked up their first win of the season in their Trico League opener at White Salmon. Erin McDonnell led the way with six kills and three aces, Erin Shaw added five ace serves and Amber Stanley contributed four kills and three aces.
NEAH-KAH-NIE def. Warrenton 25-13, 25-13, 21-25, 15-25, 15-5...After a terrible start, the Warriors nearly came all the way back but crashed in the fifth set, losing their Lewis & Clark League opener at Rockaway.
FAITH BIBLE def. Knappa 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-10...The young Loggers continue to improve, but fell for the third time this season after taking a two games to none lead at Faith Bible. McKenzie Cokley and Meagan Harn combined to serve 47-for-47 and Alyssa Oja stepped up at the net with nine blocks.
NASELLE def. Mossyrock 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-16...The Comets improved to 3-0 despite dropping their first game of the season. Cheryl Steppe had 12 kills with strong serving and defense and Sylvia Herrold contributed ten kills. Jenny Klinger served out the match after Naselle trailed 21-18. Herrold served ten straight points as Naselle cruised to the game four and match win.
JEWELL def. Country Christian...The Blue Jays also kept their record spotless with a three game sweep. Sonia Borders had 20 kills.
Yamhill-Carlton def. SEASIDE 25-23, 26-24, 25-17...The Gulls dropped to 0-3 in Cowapa League.
BANKS def. Scappoose 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22...The Braves improved to 3-0 in Cowapa League and 4-0 overall.
