10'S DROP FIRST TWO GAMES AT STATE
The Lower Columbia 10-and-under Cal Ripken All-stars are 0-2 after one day of the North Oregon State Tournament in Newberg.
Lower Columbia dropped its first pool game to West Linn 11-2, then lost a shootout to Sandy 22-12 later in the day Friday. Sandy led by just one run before blowing the game open in the fifth inning.
Lower Columbia plays its final pool game this morning against Dallas B, then faces a single elimination contest at 3:00 p.m. The tournament concludes with championships and consolation games Sunday afternoon at Dundee School.
