L.C., SEASIDE 12'S BEGIN STATE TOURNEY

The North Oregon Cal Ripken 10-12-year-old State Tournament begins today at La Creole Complex in Dallas. Lower Columbia and Seaside are in the same pool at the 8-team tournament. The champion advances to Pacific N.W. Regionals at John Null Park in Longview beginning Tuesday, July 25. Here is the tournament schedule for this weekend:

POOL A: Dallas, Central, West Linn 12A, Sandy
POOL B: Lower Columbia, Seaside, Newberg, West Linn 12B

FRIDAY: Dallas vs. Central, 1:00 p.m.; Lower Columbia vs. Seaside, 3:30 p.m.; Newberg vs. West Linn 12B, 3:30 p.m.; West Linn 12A vs. Sandy, 3:30 p.m.; Lower Columbia vs. West Linn 12B, 6:00 p.m.; Seaside vs. Newberg, 6:00 p.m.; Sandy vs. Central, 6:00 p.m.; Dallas vs. West Linn 12A, 8:00 p.m.
SATURDAY: Lower Columbia vs. Newberg, 10:00 a.m.; Seaside vs. West Linn 12B, 10:00 a.m.; Dallas vs. Sandy, 12:30 p.m.; West Linn 12A vs. Central, 12:30 p.m.; Quarterfinals at 3:30 and 6:00 p.m. (top seeds from pool play play 4th seeds from opposite pool at 3:30 and middle seeds play off at 6:00 p.m., losers are out)
SUNDAY: Semifinals, 11:00 a.m.; Championship Game, 2:00 p.m.
