10-YEAR-OLDS OUT AT STATE

The Lower Columbia 10-year-old All-stars lost to Dallas B 13-2 in their final pool matchup at the North Oregon Cal Ripken 10-and-under State Tournament.

Knappa's Trevin Morgan pitched two solid innings and Sam Scrabeck had the team's only base hit of the contest.

In Lower Columbia's final game at the tournament, Dallas A won an extra inning heartbreaker 7-6.

Both teams scored four runs in the first inning. Dallas scored the winning run on a 2-out, full count, bases loaded walk in the seventh inning.

The Lower Columbia bats came alive against Dallas. Nick Strange started the first inning rally with a base hit and finished the game 2-for-4. William James went 2-for-44 with triple and Andy Miller was also 2-for-4.
