JUNIOR STATE SEASON WINDING DOWN
The OJBA North Coast District teams play their final league games this week as they prepare for next weekend's district tournament at Knappa.
Astoria heads to Seaside's Broadway Field for a single game at 7:00 p.m. tonight and Warrenton hosts Rainier for a pair of games at Huddleston Field starting at 4:00 p.m.
Astoria, Warrenton and Seaside all have non-league games scheduled before districts. Warrenton heads to Ilwaco for a doubleheader Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. Astoria has a doubleheader at Central (Monmouth-Independence) Saturdat at 2:00 p.m. then returns home to host Banks at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Seaside hosts Scappoose on Tuesday for a 4:00 p.m. doubleheader.
The North Coast District Tournament, originally scheduled at Seaside's Broadway Field, has been relocated to Knappa's Teevin Field with games scheduled Friday-Sunday, July 21-23. Games times and matchups are to be announced. The top two teams head to the state tournament at Pleasant Hill and Marist High School in Eugene starting Thursday, July 27.
